This short course will equip you to critically examine your fears and anxieties, and to acknowledge your uniqueness so that you can start to create your career road map, allowing yourself to move towards your future confidently.

 This purpose of this course is to:

help you confront current or past negative situations and fears that are stopping you from achieving your goals

give you some tools to help you start developing your career roadmap to success.

Whether you are young, and this is your first career or you a seasoned professional who just needs a boost. This course is for you, regardless of where you are starting.

Course contents

Module 1: Confronting the Origins of the Circumstances

The module aims to explore how you can meet your fear face to face and move past it. You will explore some key issues and techniques of how to reduce the impact.

Expected outcome: By the end of this module, you should be able to explore some of your past fears and negative situations, and how you can work your way past them.

Module 2: Challenging Anxieties

This module aims to review fear situations, with a view of identifying the thoughts that led to anxiety, then challenging them.

 Expected outcome: By the end of this module, it is anticipated that you will be able to review fear situations, identifying the thoughts that led to anxiety, then challenging them by flipping them.

Module 3: Regaining Control

This module aims to explore how to regain control of your life and start building towards your goals.

Expected outcome: By the end of this module, you will have picked up some tools and techniques to help you regain control of your life and start building towards your goals.

Module 4: Celebrating Accomplishments, Changing Outcomes

The aim of this module to how you can stay motivated, appreciate the effort we are already making by appreciating the life we have lived.

Expected Outcome: By the end of this module, you will appreciate the importance of self-encouragement and appreciation of the effort you are already making and the small wins in your life right now.

Module 5: Goals + Visualisation + Action = Achievement®

This module aims to help us reach where we are going with your goals faster.

Expected Outcome: By the end of this module, you will pick up some tools and techniques to help you reach where you are going with your goals faster

Module 6: Living and Leading with Purpose

The module aims to introduce the importance of purpose and meaning in our lives.

Expected Outcome: By the end of this module, you will be equipped with some essential strategies for adding purpose and meaning to your life.

Amina Chitembo PhD, MSc,  FInstLM.
Course Leader

Amina Chitembo PhD  in Leadership at De Montfort University, Leicester, where she is also a part-time lecturer in leadership and organisational behaviour. She holds an MSc in Leadership and Management from the University of Southampton, and multiple coaching accreditations and certifications. She is a fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management. She has more than 20 years of leadership experience accrued in the health service, voluntary sector, academic research, and private sector organisations. In addition to co-writing, compiling and editing many books for others, Amina has written business and self-help books on Profitable Teams, Pushing Through Fear, Stereotypes and Imperfections, and What Serious Executives and Business Owners Need to Know Before Hiring a High Performance Coach.

She coaches and educates in Leadership Development and Inclusion to companies and individuals across the world. Among her many awards, she has been named Entrepreneur of the Year - African Women in Europe and has worked with clients and spoken at events in Australia, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, the UK, the USA, and Zambia.
